Layoff happened 7 days ago, feeling lost - any advice?

I was let go as an administrative assistant this week and I am still in shock. Thank you in advance. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
