Layoff happened 6 days ago, feeling lost (update)

I lost my job as a mechanic and I am not sure what to do first. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have not told my family yet.

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
