Layoff happened 5 days ago, feeling lost - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a bookkeeper and I am not sure what to do first. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
