Layoff happened 4 days ago, feeling lost - what worked for you?

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 4 of us were let go. I had been there 4 years. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
