Layoff happened 4 days ago, feeling lost - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a procurement assistant and I am not sure what to do first. It has been weighing on me all week. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
