Layoff happened 4 days ago, feeling lost, software tester here

I was let go as a software tester this week and I am still in shock. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 9 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
