Layoff happened 3 days ago, feeling lost (update)

I was let go as a forklift operator this week and I am still in shock. I am in Providence, in case local advice matters. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
