Layoff happened 3 days ago, feeling lost after 3 years as a medical assistant

I lost my job as a medical assistant and I am not sure what to do first. I am in San Diego, in case local advice matters. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
