Layoff happened 18 days ago, feeling lost - first time posting

I lost my job as a project coordinator and I am not sure what to do first. I am in Raleigh, in case local advice matters. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
