Layoff happened 18 days ago, feeling lost - any advice?

They called a meeting on Thursday and 18 of us were let go. I had been there 18 years. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
