Layoff happened 16 days ago, feeling lost, machine operator here

I lost my job as a machine operator and I am not sure what to do first. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
