Layoff happened 16 days ago, feeling lost - any advice?

They called a meeting on Tuesday and 16 of us were let go. I had been there 16 years. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
