Layoff happened 16 days ago, feeling lost - any advice?

They called a meeting on Thursday and 16 of us were let go. I had been there 16 years. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
