Layoff happened 12 days ago, feeling lost - any advice?

I was let go as a production planner this week and I am still in shock. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
