Layoff happened 11 days ago, feeling lost - any advice?

I was let go as an accounts payable clerk this week and I am still in shock. Any experience at all would help. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
