Layoff happened 10 days ago, feeling lost - 13 months and counting

I was let go as a bookkeeper this week and I am still in shock. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
