Last week of benefits, options? - what worked for you?

My unemployment benefits end in 24 weeks and I have not found work as an IT help-desk technician. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. Where did you get help with bills?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.

Ask your state agency about any extended programmes. Mine did not advertise them, but they existed.
