Last week of benefits, options? (update)

My unemployment benefits end in 26 weeks and I have not found work as a teaching assistant. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I am willing to take a temporary job. Did you find short-term work?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
