Last week of benefits, options? (update)

My unemployment benefits end in 5 weeks and I have not found work as a school bus driver. I am in Nashville, in case local advice matters. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. What did you do after benefits ran out?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
