Last week of benefits, options? (Birmingham)

My unemployment benefits end in 24 weeks and I have not found work as a medical assistant. I am willing to take a temporary job. What did you do after benefits ran out?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
