Last week of benefits, options? - any advice?

My unemployment benefits end in 23 weeks and I have not found work as a bookkeeper. I am in Kansas City, in case local advice matters. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies. Did you find short-term work?

Ask your state agency about any extended programmes. Mine did not advertise them, but they existed.
