Last week of benefits, options? after 9 years as an electrician's helper

My unemployment benefits end in 22 weeks and I have not found work as an electrician's helper. I am willing to take a temporary job. What did you do after benefits ran out?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
