Last week of benefits, options? after 8 years as a security officer

My unemployment benefits end in 16 weeks and I have not found work as a security officer. I wonder about extended programmes or help from local agencies.

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
