Last week of benefits, options? after 6 years as a mechanic

I exhausted my benefits and have 6 interviews lined up. There are 6 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am willing to take a temporary job. What did you do after benefits ran out?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
