Last week of benefits, options? after 17 years as a mechanic

I exhausted my benefits and have 17 interviews lined up. I am in Tucson, in case local advice matters. I have savings for about a month. Did you find short-term work?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
