Last week of benefits, options? after 14 years as a teaching assistant

My unemployment benefits end in 8 weeks and I have not found work as a teaching assistant. I am willing to take a temporary job. Did you find short-term work?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
