Last week of benefits, options? - 7 months and counting

My unemployment benefits end in 7 weeks and I have not found work as a software tester. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am willing to take a temporary job. Did you find short-term work?

I took a temp job while I kept looking. It covered rent, and the agency sent me to a permanent job within a couple of months.
