Laid off this week, where do I start? - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a marketing coordinator and I am not sure what to do first. There are 7 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
