Laid off this week, where do I start? - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a quality inspector and I am not sure what to do first. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
