Laid off this week, where do I start? (update)

I was let go as an HR coordinator this week and I am still in shock. I am in Toledo, in case local advice matters. I have not told my family yet.

Ask for your final pay, unused leave and any documents in writing before you leave, if you still can.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
