Laid off this week, where do I start?, school bus driver here

I was let go as a school bus driver this week and I am still in shock. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Which steps were urgent?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
