Laid off this week, where do I start? (Sacramento)

I was let go as a software tester this week and I am still in shock. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
