Laid off this week, where do I start? (Sacramento)

I was let go as an accounts payable clerk this week and I am still in shock. There are 12 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
