Laid off this week, where do I start?, payroll clerk here

I was let go as a payroll clerk this week and I am still in shock. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
