Laid off this week, where do I start?, home health aide here

I was let go as a home health aide this week and I am still in shock. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
