Laid off this week, where do I start? (Detroit)

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 6 of us were let go. I had been there 6 years. Any experience at all would help. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
