Laid off this week, where do I start?

I lost my job as a forklift operator and I am not sure what to do first. It has been weighing on me all week. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
