Laid off this week, where do I start?

I lost my job as an administrative assistant and I am not sure what to do first. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. What did you do in the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
