Laid off this week, where do I start? - any advice?

I was let go as an accountant this week and I am still in shock. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have not told my family yet. Is there a checklist I should follow?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
