Laid off this week, where do I start? after 7 years as a customer-service rep

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 7 of us were let go. I had been there 7 years. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have not told my family yet. Which steps were urgent?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
