Laid off this week, where do I start? after 16 years as an accounts payable clerk

I lost my job as an accounts payable clerk and I am not sure what to do first. I am in Buffalo, in case local advice matters. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. What did you do in the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
