Laid off this week, where do I start? after 12 years as a quality inspector

They called a meeting on Monday and 12 of us were let go. I had been there 12 years. It has been a long 26 weeks. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. Is there a checklist I should follow?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
