Laid off this week, where do I start? after 11 years as a machine operator

They called a meeting on Friday and 11 of us were let go. I had been there 11 years. Any experience at all would help. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
