Laid off this week, where do I start? after 10 years as an IT help-desk technician

I was let go as an IT help-desk technician this week and I am still in shock. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. What did you do in the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
