Laid off this week, where do I start?

I was let go as an operations analyst this week and I am still in shock. I am in Phoenix, in case local advice matters. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits.

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
