Laid off this week, where do I start?

I was let go as a line cook this week and I am still in shock. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

Give yourself the first couple of days to be upset. I did, and then I felt able to plan.
