Laid off this week, where do I start? - 8 months and counting

They called a meeting on Wednesday and 12 of us were let go. I had been there 12 years. Any experience at all would help. I have a few weeks of savings and a rent payment due. What did you do in the first week?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
