Laid off this week, where do I start?

They called a meeting on Thursday and 16 of us were let go. I had been there 16 years. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
