Laid off this week, where do I start?

I lost my job as a bookkeeper and I am not sure what to do first. I am in Chicago, in case local advice matters. I have a box of my things and a short letter about benefits. Is there a checklist I should follow?

I made a short list: benefits, bills, documents, and then my résumé. One thing each day kept me steady.
