Laid off this week, where do I start? - 5 months and counting

I lost my job as an administrative assistant and I am not sure what to do first. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have not told my family yet. What did you do in the first week?

File for unemployment right away. Do not wait for severance decisions. The date you file can matter.
